The Iraqi Governing Council and the Coalition Governing Council created a special tribunal a few days ago to deal with special crimes.  Just in time, too, since that evil rat-bastard Saddam was just captured.  Amnesty International has already condemned the tribunal because it was created without prior consultation with the Iraqi civil society or the international community and because the Iraqi Penal Code provides for the death penalty for crimes under the jurisdiction of the tribunal.

The Iraqi Governing Council is made up of Iraqi citizens, so they are wrong in their claim that the tribunal was created without Iraqi civil society consultation.  Second, what right does the “international community” have to dictate how the Iraqi people deal with criminals of the most evil sort?  There’s a saying in Texas that especially applies to Saddam Hussain, “He needs killing.”

Because of their cluelessness regarding Iraq’s right to put murdering thugs on trial and their pussy attitude towards executing anyone, even when guilty of mass murder, the Ass-Hat of the Week Award goes to Amnesty International.
