Ass-Hat of the Week - Supreme Court of the United States

In a split decision, the Supreme Court has ruled that the government can take private property under eminent domain not just for public projects such as roads, but also simply to give to a developer to make a more tax profitable strip mall.  Combined with their earlier decision that medical marijuana grown locally and never leaving the state falls under the interstate commerce clause, the Supreme Court has clearly entered in a new age of “screw the people.”

Senility has often been a problem with the Supreme Court, but typically the majority’s common sense has kept the one or two cases of lunacy in check.  Unfortunately, it looks like the majority has now slipped into an Alzheimer’s daze, earning the entire Supreme Court the Ass-Hat of the Week award.
