I have, in front of me, the signed employment contract for my new job, which I plan to fax back to the company tomorrow morning.  My new title will be Senior Linux System Administrator and my salary will go up by two and a half times what I am currently making.

I am horribly underpaid in my current position.  Unfortunately, there have been so many equally (or more) qualified people looking for work at the same time that it’s been a pure throw of the dice to even get an interview.  The job I am leaving was an excellent resumé–builder, but my family has been suffering financially for far too long.

Once we catch up on a pile of bills, I plan on getting myself one of these…
