SBC Strike
The union representing SBC workers is threatening a four day strike in a few days. Will anyone even notice? I’m serious. Their service is so bad that a strike could only improve things. Their customer service is impossible to deal with.
We cancelled our DSL service with them three months ago but they keep billing us. They are even threatening to shut off our phone service for failure to pay a bill we don’t owe. Every attempt to speak to a “real live” person has resulted in being put on hold forever. After 20 minutes, I hang up. I refuse to be held captive by them. In my last correspondence with them (via email since they don’t know how to use a telephone) I told them to resolve the situation immediately or I will contact the California Public Utilities Commission.
My wife worked as a contractor at SBC for a short time. As far as she could tell, she was the only one who did any actual work.
